...and that's basically why we ended up out here on Peterson and Lasley. It's tucked into Whitehall city, so you've got that small-town feel without feeling completely disconnected—Grand Haven beach is about 35 minutes away if you want to make a weekend of it. The neighborhood itself is compact enough that your grocery store and a decent spread of restaurants are basically steps from home, which sounds trivial until you're actually living it. There are five parks within a mile, including Funnell Field just a quick walk away, and the whole area sits under Montague Area Public Schools. Homes run around $180K–$250K depending on what you find, and honestly, for what you're getting—walkable access to everyday stuff plus that slower pace—it feels right. You're not commuting into the city, but you're not completely isolated either.
