Driving through this unincorporated community 12 miles northwest of Grand Rapids, you'll find yourself surrounded by acreage—five, ten, twenty acres at a stretch—with mature trees and enough space to actually breathe. The real draw is Berlin Raceway, a 7/16-mile paved oval that's been hosting NASCAR-sanctioned races and ARCA events since 1950; on race nights the whole area hums. The Berlin Fair pulls the community together with seasonal events at the fairgrounds.
