Most people assume heading to this part of West Michigan means beach towns and crowded summers, but out here you get something quieter—rural acreage, vineyards, and the kind of place where folks have owned their cottages for decades. The real draw is proximity: five public beaches within a mile and a half, five wineries within three miles, and Saugatuck just minutes away. Homes tend to sit on substantial lots with room to breathe, and you'll find everything from restored farmhouses to newer builds with finished basements and pole barns for storage. There's a winery, the Interfaith Community, and Sri Sri Ma's Temple, which opened in 1998. The Woods Luxury Camping, a glamping spot, opened in 2024. It's the kind of area where you're close enough to the action—Holland is about 15 minutes away—but far enough back that you actually feel removed from it all.
