You're pretty car-dependent out here, which is the trade-off for having some breathing room—most errands mean hopping in the vehicle, and the nearest coffee shop is a solid half-hour walk. That said, there's a restaurant within six minutes if you need to grab dinner without much fuss, and you've got three parks within a mile to explore, including Geerlings Farm Park just over a ten-minute walk away. Downtown Grand Rapids is about half an hour's drive, so you're close enough to the action when you want it but far enough removed to actually feel like you've left the city.
