What catches most people is how much land and air you get without feeling stranded—the neighborhood sits close enough to a couple of grocery stores and restaurants that you're not making a production of errands, yet far enough out that you're not living on top of anybody else. Woodbeck Lake lies less than a mile away if you want to be near water, and there are a pair of parks within walking distance, including Shearer Road Mountain Bike Area about a 13-minute walk if you're into that sort of thing. The real draw, though, is the combination: enough space to breathe, enough proximity to keep life simple, and enough green nearby that you don't have to drive far to feel like you've left town.
