Woodbeck Lake sits at the center of this 496-acre stretch, its shoreline and surrounding woods defining the rhythm of life out here. A couple miles south, Pretty Lake Boating Access Site opens onto another body of water, giving the area a genuine water-focused character—the kind of place where the calendar revolves around seasons on the lake rather than city events. Dining and shopping require a short drive, but that distance is part of the trade-off: you're looking at roughly two hours from downtown Grand Rapids, far enough that the area feels genuinely removed from the urban pull, close enough that it isn't entirely isolated.
