Head out this way and you're trading strip noise for actual space — homes here sit on solid lots with room to breathe, many with views across the back fields or even down toward Crooked Lake. A grocery run is about a mile and a quarter, restaurants are a few miles out, but water access changes the whole equation; Duck Lake sits less than half a mile away, and the public boat launch at Crooked Lake is just over a mile down the road, so if you're into being on the water or launching from your own backyard, this stretch delivers. The homes are newer construction — 2008 builds and recent additions — with the kinds of finishes people actually live with: hardwood floors, updated kitchens, decks that face the acreage instead of the street. Gerald R. Ford airport is roughly 48 minutes north if you need it, but out here it feels like the kind of place where you're not thinking about getting somewhere else.
