Groceries and restaurants are a short drive away (3 miles and 2.8 miles respectively), so you're not completely remote, just far enough that the lake becomes the real draw. Half Moon Lake has public access if you want to explore beyond your own shoreline, a pleasant walk away. The trade-off is distance to downtown, which runs about an hour, but if you're choosing a lake area, that's the whole point—you're trading commute time for water access and room to breathe.
