Twin Lakes sits just a tenth of a mile away if you want even closer water, and Pierce Cedar Creek Institute—good for a walk if you're into that sort of thing—is about two miles down the road. Grocery runs mean a drive of roughly three and a half miles, which is fine; you're out here for the lake view from the deck, not the convenience store. The nearest real airport is a solid hour away, so if you're flying in and out regularly, you're committing to the drive—but if you're thinking secondary residence, fishing trips, or the kind of place where boating on a spring-fed lake is the whole point, the math works.
