The tree-lined streets here feel older than they probably are—there's something about the lot widths and the setbacks that makes you think somebody actually planned this carefully instead of just dividing land into rectangles. Within a mile you've got ten restaurants and three grocery stores, which means you're rarely more than a nine-minute walk from dinner or groceries. Twin Lakes sits about two miles off if you want water, and First Ward Park is close enough that a quick outing doesn't feel like an expedition.
