Errands and groceries are manageable on foot (15 minutes to a store, 11 to food), and there are half a dozen restaurants within a mile, but don't expect to walk to the gym or find nature trails; those require a car. The airport is under 50 minutes away, Grand Haven's beach is closer at 27, and you're in the West Ottawa school district if that's a factor for your situation.
