You'd think a subdivision called Summer Woods would feel generic—cookie-cutter homes on postage-stamp lots, all lined up like they came off an assembly line. Instead, you get nine acres of actual neighborhood, where the lots average less than a fifth of an acre but the place somehow doesn't feel cramped. Summerwood Park is a three-minute walk away, and there are five parks within a mile if you feel like exploring. Downtown Grand Rapids is about twelve minutes by car, and the airport is just over fourteen, so you're close enough to the city without living in it.
