You're right on a transit line here, which is honestly the best thing about the location—running errands or grabbing coffee and a bite to eat are genuinely walkable, with a grocery store and restaurants all within a five-minute stroll. Smallenburg Park is just down the road if you want to get outside, and you've got a handful of other green spaces scattered around the area too. It's positioned nicely for getting down to Grand Haven beach in about half an hour, or making the drive into downtown Grand Rapids when you need to, so you're not totally locked into one direction.
