Generous Giving

A referral engine
with a soul.

Grand Rapids Real Estate Company is the local company you're joining. Under our AARE umbrella, the Generous Giving Program lets a nonprofit, church, or local charity send buyers and sellers through a structured co-venture marketing agreement. When that client closes with an approved agent, a donation check is written to the cause they came through.

Grand Rapids Real Estate Company brings the West Michigan relationships. AARE provides the program structure, agreement path, and donation workflow. Together, it becomes active referral infrastructure for agents and real funding for local mission work — at no extra cost to the client.

Program mechanics

How the donation check gets written.

01

A local cause joins the program

A church, school, nonprofit, or local charity signs onto the Generous Giving structure made available through AARE.

02

Their community is invited in

Supporters who need to buy or sell are introduced to a Grand Rapids Real Estate Company agent approved for Generous Giving.

03

The agent serves the client

The client gets normal professional representation from a local agent. The program does not add a fee to the client.

04

A closing becomes a gift

After the transaction closes, a portion of the company and agent commission is donated to the organization.

Why agents care

AARE reports typical donation checks can land in the thousands to tens of thousands. Grand Rapids Real Estate Company can bring that structure to local churches, schools, and charities here — and give agents a real reason to build relationships around shared mission.

AARE gives

Corporate generosity runs underneath it.

Separate from the referral program, AARE gives 20% of its own gross revenue through the Eye of the Needle Foundation. That umbrella matters: Grand Rapids Real Estate Company is local, but it is backed by a brokerage built to give.

Clients direct

The client chooses the cause pathway.

A buyer or seller comes through a nonprofit, church, or charity campaign, works with an approved Grand Rapids Real Estate Company agent, and the closed transaction creates the donation.

GR agents grow

Local generosity becomes local pipeline.

For a Grand Rapids Real Estate Company agent, this can sit beside a claimed neighborhood: churches, schools, food pantries, and local nonprofits become mission partners and referral partners.

At Grand Rapids Real Estate Company, this turns your real estate business into a funding channel for the work your community already believes in.

Mission in action

One example: Mission of Hope — Haiti & the Dominican Republic.

The work a buyer's closing can quietly fund. Medical teams in remote villages, women learning trades, students staying in school, families receiving uniforms through a local church partner. A closing in Cascade can put a kid in a classroom in Titanyen.

From the founder

I built this so the agent who shows up does good work, gets paid fairly, and helps fund the things that matter.

I'm Jon — a licensed broker who got tired of waiting for someone else to build the platform our buyers and sellers deserved. So I built it. The Neighborhood Atlas you see at grandrapids.realestate is the result. 1,619 neighborhoods, every lake area, every condo community in West Michigan — wired into AARE's back-end so the agents who join get pre-IPO equity, the freedom to focus or expand, and Lofty for free.

My faith is the through-line in this. I don't want to build a brokerage that just makes money — I want one that does real work for real families, treats agents like partners instead of headcount, and gives generously while it's growing. AARE's Generous Capitalism® model gives 20% of the company's own gross revenue through the Eye of the Needle Foundation. The business we build should do good while it grows.

I'm building in public. Every week more ships. The agents who join early shape what comes next — what features get prioritized, which neighborhoods get enriched first, which integrations are actually worth wiring up.

If that sounds like a brokerage you'd join — and a mission you'd want a stake in — apply.

A broker who lives here

Jon Hazeltine is the broker, the builder, and the person who answers his phone. The platform you sell is shipped by the same person you'll close deals with.

First in, first pick

1,619 neighborhoods, 440 lake areas, 2,072 condo communities, 6,303 subdivisions — all live, all ranking on Google, all claimable. We're not announcing a roadmap. The map is already there.

Authority on rails

Centralized YouTube channel where every video lifts every agent. grandrapids.realestate as your domain — exact-match, already ranking. Your name on every page in your neighborhood, on a domain that wasn't built last week.

Before we even talk about the platform

The boring stuff most brokerages get wrong.

Software is great. But you didn't pick this career to be impressed by software. You picked it to do real work for real people, get paid fairly, and sleep through the night. Here's how that part actually works here.

A real coach who answers their phone

Same-day response from someone who has actually closed deals — not an AI bot or an offshore queue. Call them when the deal is on the line.

70/30 with leads included

A flat 70/30 split on every transaction, with Atlas-sourced leads in the box. No tiers, no caps, no annual reset. The deal that flexes to YOUR production, not the brokerage's margin.

Real ownership from day one

Performance stock grants, closing credits, and discounted share purchases. You're not a contractor — you're a shareholder.

A brokerage with a soul

Generous Capitalism® — AARE gives 20% of its own gross revenue through the Eye of the Needle Foundation. The business you help build is designed to give while it grows.

Real people in real rooms

In-person AARE events plus a local broker (Jon) you can grab coffee with. The opposite of an out-of-state national franchise that ghosts you in year two.

A founder seat at the table

The platform is built in public. Early agents shape what ships next. You're joining the cap table AND the roadmap.
